Collison barn restoration

We recently completed a renovation of this historic barn, located in Chadds Ford, PA. Measuring 20'x45', including an open lean-to, the project focused on preserving the barn’s original character while making key structural and aesthetic upgrades. We removed soil and added crushed stone before pouring a new concrete floor throughout the barn and open lean-to. As part of the restoration, we installed six new windows and two new sliding doors, all framed with oak to match the traditional look of the barn. We installed new 1"x10" white pine board siding and trim on all sides of the barn, excluding the roadside which had previously been completed. This gave the exterior a clean, cohesive look while staying true to its historic design. The original shingle roof was removed and replaced with a 26-gauge standing seam metal roof.
